Why did no-one remind me it was Valentine's Day?!

My day started as normal: woke up and had some kippers for breakfast. However, there was a card for me on the kitchen table and it suddenly hit me - it's Valentine's Day!!
I'm pretty sure you'll have guessed by now that I haven't got anything for Penny. She was getting ready to go out when I went through for breakfast so I've bought myself some time by saying that I have a surprise for her when she gets back.
My plan is to pop down to the shops and grab some chocolate fishes - her favourites! I might make the extra effort and cook some dinner for her coming home, we can sit in the conservatory and have a romantic meal. Apparently I should get some lavendar to create the perfect atmosphere!
That should help smoove the way for watching a bit of the footy later...
